Thanksgiving in Arkansas and 25 weeks

25 weeks!!!

We took the long road trip to Arkansas this year for Thanksgiving.  It was really fun getting to spend some special time with Adam's family.  I had been looking forward to Thanksgiving meal ever since I found out I was pregnant.  I finally had a good excuse to stuff my self silly!!!  Everyone pitched in and we had a great meal and lots of great naps too!!!  Adam's little cousin celebrated his 1st birthday while we were there.  Here are some pictures from the week.

With the help of some friends we finally decided on a color for the nursery.  We went with weathered glass for the walls.  It is a pretty blue.  The accents will of course be in pink.  A couple of my friends helped me paint the walls. Here are the before and after shots.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday my parents (Taffy and Pops) came and added all the amazing finsihing touches.

22 weeks-Canton Shopping Trip

The first weekend in November I met my parents for a fun-filled weekend of shopping in Canton and Dallas.  We met Friday night and ate some delcious pizza and hit a few baby stores.  I got some great deals on Halloween stuff for next year.

Saturday morning we got up early and headed to Canton for a day of great shopping.  I was keeping my eye out for a cute dresser we could make into a changing table and any other odds and ends I could find. I didn't expect to actually find what I was looking for, because I am frugal and picky.  We looked for awhile and we found what I was looking for!  I couldn't believe it.  It was this cute 1940's wooden baby dresser.  My dad is going to paint it pink for me and put new knobs on it.  I can't wait for the finished product.  We also found an adorable wooden dollhouse that I can use as storage until our little girl is old enough to play with it.  My mom got me this cute tutu outfit, I am thinking of using it for some newborn pictures.

On Sunday we decided it would be fun to go see the Dallas World Aquarium.  It was amazing.  Here are some of my favorite pictures:

We saw a stork!  Guess he didn't get the memo that he is suppose to be carrying my baby for me! hahaha

Happy Halloween-21 weeks

The week of Halloween was sure fun!  We had a carnival at school and dressed as our favorite book characters.  My wonderful team of teachers dressed up as "Where the Wild Things Are." I reused the monster costumes from OBU Tiger Tunes.

It's a GIRL!!!

I had my 20 week check-up on Tuesday (October 23).  The first thing we saw was that our baby is going to be a little girl. She was positioned bottom-up, and there was no doubt from the Ultrasound Tech that it's a GIRL!!!! She is measuring a few days further along then they originally thought.  Her head is big, in the 75%.  Everything checked out within the normal healthy range.  Now we need to decide on a name.
